Wind-resource and hazard assessments

Problem

Before a wind farm is financed, lenders and investors want to know how much wind the site gets and what extreme weather it is exposed to, often before there is a long on-site measurement record.

What I did

I analyse reanalysis data for the site, cross-checking ERA5 against MERRA-2 and flagging where they disagree, and estimate cyclone exposure from historical storm tracks, with return-period winds from block maxima.

Result

Site-specific reports used in project feasibility and lender/investor technical due diligence.
